PRESS RELEASE - 2015 BOTSWANA GENERAL CERTIFICATE FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION (BGCSE) RESULTS RELEASED

Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) has released the 2015 Botswana General Certificate for Secondary Education (BGCSE) results. A total of 38 796 candidates wrote the 2015 examination showing an increase in candidature of 3.8% compared to 2014 cohort of 37 384. There were 16 483 (42.5%) male candidates and 22 313 (57.5%) female candidates sitting for the 2015 BGCSE Examination.

PRESS RELEASE - 2015 JUNIOR CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS (JCE) RESULTS RELEASED

Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) has released the 2015 Junior Certificate Examination (JCE) results. A total of 41 938 candidates wrote the 2015 examination showing an increase in candidature of 3.4% from the 2014 candidature of 40 559. There were 20 621 male candidates and 21 317 female candidates sitting for the 2015 Junior Certificate Examination.

PRESS RELEASE - 2015 PRIMARY SCHOOL LEAVING EXAMINATION (PSLE) RESULTS RELEASED

Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) has released the 2015 Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) results. A total of 42 553 candidates wrote the 2015 examination showing a decrease from the 2014 candidature of 42 797. Of the 42 553 students, 21 299 (50.05%) were females and 21 254 (49.95%) were males.

PUBLIC NOTICE - 2014 BGCSE CERTIFICATES DESPATCH

The Botswana Examinations Council wishes to inform the public that the 2014 BGCSE Certificates are out on despatch. All school candidates (Government and Private) are therefore requested to contact their Schools/Centres to collect the certificates as soon as possible. The certificates will be kept in the schools for a period of 24 months, before they are returned to Botswana Examinations Council.

CLOSING DATE ON UK INVIGILATORS VACANCIES (CIE, ABE and UL)

The Mmegi of Friday 20th March 2015, Vol 32 - No 44 carried an Advert advertising the Temporary Posts of Invigilators (CIE, ABE and UL). We erroneously put the advert with a wrong closing date. The advert states the closing date for applications as 27th March 2015. We wish to clarify that the correct closing date for applications for the above posts is 31st March 2015 not 27th March 2015. We regret any inconvenience that might have been caused by this error.
